Odisha Arthroscopy Society (OAS) was initiated by 13 core members— Dr.Tanmoy Mohanty, Dr. Biswajit Sahu, Dr. Paresh Chandra Dey, Dr. Debashish Mishra, Dr. Sanjeev Patnaik, Dr. Ranajit Panigrahi, Dr. Debabrata Padhy, Dr. Satya Ranjan Patra, Dr. Bishnu Prasad Patro, Dr. Tusharkanti Panda, Dr. Rg Asutosh Mahapatra, Dr. Akshya Kumar Sahu and Dr. Asish Acharya —on 19th July 2017.

The association was proposed by Dr Ranjit Panigrahy and was subsequently registered under the Society Act, bearing registration number 23907133, on the same date.
